The Blue Spark medallion — a polished silver ring around a faceted deep blue eight-point compass star.
/about

About Blue Spark.

A premium desktop AI, built in private, shipped in public.

A1 — Where the name comes from

A small clear moment, on your own machine.

If a journalist asks, the public answer is one sentence: we chose the name because it captures what the product does — a small clear moment, on your own machine. That's it. There's a longer story, and it stays private. We chose the name for the machine claim, not for a metaphysical one. The rest of the brand reads from that.

A3 — The five proof points

Five things we lead with. Each one we will defend.

1. Runs on your machine.

The product runs locally, on the office hardware the audience already owns. No GPU upgrade required. No dedicated machine required. The standard office laptop is the standard office server — that is the central go-to-market advantage and it is also the architectural commitment.

2. Remembers you in five layers.

Working. Episodic. Semantic. Procedural. Persona. The five layers describe memory from "what's happening right now" to "who you are, over time." Trust is weighted by source. Recurring facts strengthen; one-time facts fade. The memory is yours; it lives on your disk.

3. Low latency, scaled to your local hardware.

We don't publish a millisecond benchmark. Speed is real, and it is a function of your disk and your CPU, not a number we benchmark. A slow office laptop gets a slow Blue Spark; a fast office laptop gets a fast Blue Spark. We don't change the framing to look better.

4. No cloud round-trip.

Voice, conversations, and memory never leave the disk. The cloud receives only what the architecture requires it to receive — a license check, a software update, an outbound email you explicitly sent, or a reasoning call when the local model can't handle the question. The cloud sees the request, not the rest of you.

5. Free base product.

The base experience is uncrippled and uncapped. Pro is $120 a month, framed as the cost of keeping your spark bright. Premium add-ons ship on top of Pro. The base is the base; Pro is what you pay when you want more.

A4 — Bright-line guardrails

Words we don't use. Words we do.

We publish the line because the reader who knows what we're not saying can trust what we are saying.

Words we don't use

Lotus. Flame. Aura. Mandala. Awakening. Illumination. Stillness. Enlightenment. Sacred. Divine.

These words describe a category of experience the product does not belong to. They appear in marketing decks, spiritual-tech launches, and product pages about meditation apps. They do not appear here.

Words we do use

Calm. Quiet. Clarity. Precise. Sovereign. On your machine.

Six words. Each one does its work. Precise is the metric the audit log is held to. Sovereign is the user's relationship to the product. On your machine is where the product runs.

A5 — The one sharp sentence
If you want ChatGPT, use ChatGPT.

The Pratfall is not a swipe. It is an out, offered honestly. This sentence appears on this page and nowhere else on the site.

A6 — The six rules

The rules this page passes, on this page.

01

Calm. No exclamation marks on this page.

02

Precise. Mono numbers. Verb-first sentences.

03

Sovereign. Your machine. Your data. Your permission.

04

Local. The cloud is the exception.

05

Honest. We don't know yet is a complete sentence.

06

On-brand name only. Public surfaces say Blue Spark.

A7 — The founder signature

By ben.

The product is built and shipped by one person, working under the partner name ben. The founder-signature placement on the standalone star in the navigation, the favicon, and the top-bar area is reserved as a partner decision before any production nav ships. We are not guessing on this page. The signature is named; the placement is held.

Placement: decision reserved by the founder
A8 — Press kit

What a journalist needs.

Boilerplate

Blue Spark is a premium desktop AI built by ben. It runs locally on standard office hardware, remembers the user in five layers of memory, holds a distinct personality, and quietly handles the messy, mundane work of office automation. Sovereignty is the product. The product ships its base experience free; Pro is $120 a month, framed as the cost of keeping your spark bright.

Logo

The 3D medallion in two treatments (Code Black, Paper), and the standalone star in two sizes. PNG and SVG. No recoloring outside the Deep Blue + Steel + Spark palette.

Press contact

Contact channels open with the GitHub org publish — see contact. Response commitment: next business day, not 24/7.

Security disclosure

How a security researcher reaches us, what we do with a report, and what the bounty program covers when one exists: security disclosure.

The brand voice on this page is the brand voice on the rest of the site. The same restraint, the same precision, the same sovereignty — when you draft a binder on Tuesday and when you draft a will on Saturday. The product reads the same; the user reads the same; the line reads the same.
